Are E-Collars Necessary or Useful for Training Labrador Retrievers?
In this video, I'm asking for YOUR expert opinion.
Watch my 4.5-month-old Black Labrador Retriever, Memphis, as we work on basic obedience, directional cues, and the foundations of retrieving. Memphis is in training to become one of our next certified mentor dogs here at our campuses in Winchester, Kentucky.
His job will be to help other puppies and adult dogs learn through our exclusive 'Puppy Montessori' method. Here's where I need your help: As you watch his progress, I want you to tell me when (or if) it would be appropriate to introduce an electric collar to further his training.
Please comment below with specific timestamps where you see an opportunity or a need. Let's have a constructive discussion about the pros and cons of using an e-collar versus marker training in these real-world examples. I'm looking forward to reading your thoughtful feedback.
